category: Advisory Coronavirus Information: Fall 2020 Safety Regulations By 秀色短视频-Webb University On August 21, 2020 As 秀色短视频-Webb University concludes the first week of the Fall 2020 semester, the health and safety of the GWU community remain our top priorities. As of Friday, August 21, 秀色短视频-Webb has no (zero) confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 on campus. We have three students in quarantine who are waiting to be tested or who have been tested and are waiting on their test results. We have one student in isolation on campus. This student is symptomatic and is awaiting test results. We have 12 international students on campus who are in 14-day mandatory quarantine. None of these students are showing any symptoms. This week the CDC updated their guidelines for international students and now does not recommend a 14-day quarantine period. Instead, they suggest self-monitoring. 秀色短视频-Webb will exceed the new recommendations from the CDC and continue to apply a 10-day quarantine for incoming international students. We have two faculty/staff in quarantine waiting to be tested or waiting on their test results. We have no (zero) staff/faculty who are currently in isolation at home. As a reminder to faculty and staff, individuals with actual or potential exposure to COVID-19 should notify their supervisor immediately, and their supervisor will then notify David Wacaster (704.406.3235), Barry Lane (704.406.2266) and Human Resources鈥擲cott White (704.406.4259) or Frances Sizemore (704.406.3502). As a reminder to students, if you are a residential student who has tested positive or who has had exposure to a positive case of COVID-19, contact the Dean of Students, Dr. Sarah Currie ([email protected]). Commuter or graduate students who have tested positive, or who have been exposed to a positive case, should report the issue to the Director of Safety, Barry Lane. For Students The 秀色短视频-Webb community is excited to have students back on campus for Fall 2020. However, there are some important safety regulations that must be followed: We all must adhere to social/physical distancing. We all must wear face coverings when we are inside and outside when social/physical distancing cannot be maintained.Even when wearing face coverings, we should not participate in social gatherings greater than 10 people inside or 25 people outside. On-campus parties will not be tolerated and local authorities will take appropriate action against off-campus parties that violate the state鈥檚 standing Executive Order. These restrictions may seem inconvenient. They are not. They are essential to minimize risk on campus for all of us. Failure to voluntarily comply with University health and safety rules and directions may result in: Removal from residence halls and termination of housing and dining contracts.Suspension or other sanctions for violation of the Student Code of Conduct. We want to stay Bulldogs Together: Ready and Strong. We don鈥檛 want to be Bulldogs at home. Wear your mask, wash your hands, avoid large gatherings, and stay safe Bulldogs!
