COVID-19 Numbers, Testing and Spring Schedules

Campus COVID-19 Numbers

As we begin the month of November, our numbers have risen modestly. This is not what we want to see. We have to stay smart and proactive to keep our numbers low: wear your mask, wash your hands, and follow all social distancing guidelines. We are committed to keeping our campus community safe as we move through the semester. Do your part to protect yourself, your friends, and your families!

As of Friday afternoon, November 6, 秀色短视频-Webb has one confirmed positive case of COVID-19 in isolation on campus. We also have one residential undergraduate student who has tested positive and is in isolation at home.  We have one commuter/graduate student who has tested positive for COVID-19 and is in isolation at home. We have 22 residential undergraduate students in quarantine on campus. Twelve of these are direct contacts of the one positive case on campus, and all of those are asymptomatic at this time.

We currently have one positive case of COVID-19 among our faculty in isolation at home. We have two staff members currently positive for COVID-19 in isolation at home. We have four staff members in quarantine waiting to be tested or waiting for test results.

While the 秀色短视频-Webb campus bubble remains relatively strong and secure, other communities across Cleveland County are not faring as well.  There have been 471 new positive COVID-19 cases in our county in just the last 14 days. There are 23 people hospitalized with the virus, and officials report at least 91 COVID-related deaths in our county. We cannot relax.  We cannot let down our guard.  Let鈥檚 commit to doing everything necessary to keep our campus and our community safe and healthy!

Flu Shots

Flu shots administered by CVS Boiling Springs staff will be available for students next week on November 10th in the Tucker Student Center. Students can come by the Student Development Suite 鈥媜n the second floor of the Tucker Student Center to complete a Flu Vaccine Consent Form and to get a copy of their insurance card made. Flu shot appointments will not be necessary if all the paperwork is complete in advance. The flu shots are free with medical coverage and insurance. If students have questions about their coverage, they can call the phone number on their insurance card.
