Community Update: We Continue to Protect our “Bubble”

When we all returned to campus in January, the University tested a total of 1,455 individuals and found only 18 positives, a rate of 1.23%. This is a very low percentage. The good news is we now have a “bubble we can protect!

Protecting the bubble means keeping up the healthy practices we learned last year:  wear your mask, maintain safe physical distancing and wash your hands. We’re all in this together!

Statewide Curfew

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper has extended the again, this time through February 28, 2021. This curfew remains in effect from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. Residential students will need to be in their own residence halls by 10:00 pm and remain there until 5:00 a.m., or they will be in violation of the Governor’s curfew.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are being handled primarily through insurance providers or county health organizations. The University is not involved in determining those processes. However, when the University receives updates about vaccine events or scheduling, we will share the information with our faculty, staff and students. To make sure you receive the information, you need to have current emergency contact information on file. Please take a moment to review or update your contact information via WebbConnect. To update your communications preferences, please utilize the Update Emergency Contact Information link found under the Maintain Information folder.
