Community Update: FAQs, Stay at Home Order and Encouraging Results

Welcome back, Bulldogs! As we prepare for classes to start, we are finishing COVID testing and the initial results are very encouraging. We appear to have only a 1% positive rate among those returning students who have been tested. This is far below the county or state averages and a good sign as we begin the semester!

Remember that physical distancing, properly wearing your mask and washing your hands frequently are still vitally important. Do your part to keep us all together on campus!

If you are a residential student and develop any COVID symptoms, contact the Dean of Students, Lesley Villarose, at [email protected] or (610) 322-7265. Residential students may also contact Brian Arnold at [email protected] or (704) 974-2810. If you are a commuter, graduate or doctoral student, faculty or staff and you develop COVID symptoms you can contact Barry Lane at [email protected] or (704) 297-6988.

The Governor鈥檚 order requires students to be within their assigned building during the curfew period. However, there is nothing in the Governor鈥檚 order that prohibits students from going to and from communal space within the building including but not limited to the following:听 bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, and lobbies/lounges.
